Bamboo

A sustainable alternative to traditional materials for decking and cladding. Thanks to advanced processing, it combines natural beauty, durability and respect for the environment.

Why bamboo takes what it takes.

The treatments applied to bamboo improve its resistance to moisture and reduce the risk of micro-organisms and fungi taking hold. That improves the stability and durability of the material even in demanding settings: humid climates or coastal areas.

The POLAR process exposes the fibres to temperatures of 210-220 °C for up to twenty hours. It strips out the residual nutrients — what would attract fungi and insects — and gives bamboo its characteristic dark brown colour.

01

High strength and long life

The high density gives a compact structure that takes heavy traffic and rough weather without giving way.

02

Dimensional stability

The treatment reduces the movement of the material, even with sharp swings in humidity and temperature.

03

Low maintenance

Water and pH-neutral soap. Outdoor bamboo oil is only needed if you want to keep the original colour.

Decking

Bamboo decking

For terraces, gardens, balconies, pools, walkways and high-traffic areas. It combines the look of bamboo with low maintenance and high resistance to the weather. Sold individually.

Use
Outdoor decking for terraces, gardens, balconies, pools, walkways and high-traffic areas.

With battens and a system of concealed clip fixing, giving a clean, elegant surface. It must be fitted keeping the recommended ventilation cavity.
Substructure
Compatible with a substructure in aluminium or bamboo, which gives a solid, stable base and aids ventilation.
Maintenance
Regular cleaning with water and pH-neutral soap. To keep the original colour we recommend applying outdoor bamboo oil several times a year, depending on exposure. Left unmaintained, the material fades.

Installation accessories

Raising the board is what keeps it stable.

On floors, the boards sit on aluminium or bamboo battens, held clear of the surface so the water drains and the air circulates. That reduces trapped moisture and keeps them dimensionally stable over the years.

Compatibility and changes in level

Bamboo decking works with battens in bamboo, aluminium or tropical hardwood. On sloping surfaces, the adjustable pedestals let you level the frame quickly and precisely, securing the ventilation underneath even on uneven ground.

To keep the original colour, here too you use MibaProtect, in neutral or walnut.
